DescriptionA single bull buffalo stands guard as the herd rests in the background. Lithograph by J. J. Audubon from an Octavo Edition of Quadrupeds of North America, so the pages are 1/4th the size of the originals from the full-sized folio edition. Images reduced and printed by John T. Bowen in PA, book itself published by Victor Gifford Audubon (JJ's youngest son) and printed by H. Ludwig in New York. The bison faces to the left, rolling hills behind him.
