    Description(W2010.039.001) Jackrabbit jumping straight up in the air. Several other rabbits run towards background. This image was used to illustrate "The Little Warhorse; A Story of a Jack-Rabbit" from Seton's book "Animal Heroes: Being the Histories of a Cat, a Dog, a Pigeon, a Lynx, Two Wolves & a Reindeer and in Elucidation of the Same Over 200 Drawings" published in 1901. Accompanying the painting is a page (15” x 9 5/8” - W2010.039.002) with the story of “The Warhorse” from “The Ladies’ Home Journal” dated June 1904. Page is located in PSDR4.
