“During the year the paintings in the Society’s Art Galleries were increased by the addition of a large painting of the Townsend fur seal and two smaller paintings of the Canada Lynx and the Bay Lynx, all by Carl Rungius.” (36th Annual Report of the NYZS, for the year 1931, p. 26, published January 1932).
