DescriptionThree paririe dogs in an open field. The prarie dog to the left is sticking his head out of a hole in the ground, while another walks towards him. A third prarie dog is standing up behind the other two on top of small green mounds of grass. Royal Octavo Edition with 155 plates reduced to 1/4 original size by John T. Bowen (multiple volumes first published between 1849 and 1854).
