Curatorial Remarks
Copyright title/description: In fighting mood. A bull moose standing forward upon a hill and swinging his head sharply to the left.
Copyright proprietor: Rungius (Carl), Brooklyn, N.Y.
Class I, XXc, no. 20703, Feb. 6, 1907.

In Douglas Allen's 1989 article, this painting is titled Alaska Moose. The setting makes sense given that they do not look particularly like the Wind Rivers and Rungius had not yet been to the Canadian Rockies.
